Academics

Rajiv got his Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from The School of Automation at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1987.

He was a gold-medalist at NIT Allahabad, from where he got his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science in 1985.

He has been a merit scholar throughout his academics, topped the University during BE, and stood second in ME at IISc.

Software Product Development

He spent his initial years working on local area networks, compilers, device drivers, and other system programs.

One of his products for system backup was rated number one in the world by Sun Expert magazine in the US in 1994.

Energy Trading Risk Management

In 1995 he joined Vedaris Technology, UK as the head of their Indian operations, which was the main product development center for the organization.

He specialized in risk management and exotic financial modeling, and developed models for exotic options, value / profit at risk, option adjusted spread, credit default swap, etc.

After the closure of Vedaris, he helped Aurora Software setup their development center in India.

Business Intelligence & Predictive Analytics

Post the acquisition of Aurora by ION, he used his understanding of IT stack and analytical skills to setup a High Performance Team, which developed tools to create simulated environments for performance benchmarking of ION Components, automatic execution of tests, and analysis & tuning of products for high performance.

He was also part of a Predictive Analytics initiative at ION, which promoted the culture of data driven business intelligence and development of self-supporting (adaptive) solutions using data analysis and machine learning algorithms.

Agile Software Development

Rajiv has a passion for Vedic philosophy, especially related to human and organizational behaviors. The philosophy is believed to be the foundation of many modern-day agile software development methodologies.

He has been practicing Yoga since 1996 and is associated with Art of Living, one of the world’s largest NGOs, spreading Yoga and Vedic philosophies for professional, personal, and social transformations.
